What’s up my fellow netflix users?
I’ve decided that since my last post about putting your move queue up had a lot of buzz to start another member input post. This time instead of posting up your netflix movie queue lets do some netflix movie reviews that you have recently watched! :)
I’ll start off with ‘The Dark Knight’
What an amazing movie. Everyone was top notch. Music was intense and make up was phenomenal. The directors really did a fantastic job in picking up where ‘Batman Begins’ left off. Not to mention the Lamborghini that was pure sex. heh. The entire movie kept me interested and it flew by. If you like action packed movies this movie is definitely for you! A MUST see!

I have been hearing a lot of flak about public actually dissing the netflix free trial. Why? Not exactly sure. Maybe it’s because the free trial teases the potential customers into liking what netflix has to offer and blam they have to pay. That is my only reasoning.
The netflix free trial is actually wonderful. What a better way to promote a company then offer potential customers a free go with their service? Hmmm, still thinking are we? That’s because there is no other better marketing ploy than free services, for the customers to get their feet wet. Once they realize what it is they are paying for and they weigh the pros and cons. They are hooked.
On the contrary to what you know about ‘free trials’ and ‘free offers’ erase all that for minute. I know what you’re thinking, nothing is free. Well, in this case it is actually a legitimate free trial. I know I know, I have not convinced you just yet. You might be pondering, ‘but I have to enter my credit card information, they’ll charge me regardless!’. That, is not true at all. I have personally test drove the netflix free trial and it was indeed, FREE!
I paid nothing for the first two weeks and I actually watched over ten movies! The catch is, to cancel your netflix free trial before the second week of the trial. If you do not cancel the trial, you will be charged the fee for a membership (Which is only $4.99 a month).
To cancel your free trial account, simply log into your netflix membership account. Select MyAccount and press, ‘cancel account’! It’s really that easy.
Test drive netflix, what can you lose besides that must see DVD you have always been wanting to see?
Make sure you act fast, netflix’s free trial might not last forever.

Debating on signing up for a Netflix membership? If so, you might be jogging the good and bad of Netflix through your mind, determining if Netflix is actually worth it and/or cracked up to what people make it out to be.
I’ve made a list of some Pros and Cons that might help you in your decision making or reassure you in your firm decision, regardless if it’s joining Netflix or deciding Netflix is not for you.
You might find some useful information from a Netflix customer’s point of view, do not forget start off with the Free TRIAL! You won’t be disappointed, but if you are, cancel anytime and don’t pay a dime.

First off, I’d like to take the time out to apologize for the delay in between this post and my ordering post.
Okay, now to what happened. =]
I ordered my movies on January 10th, as I stated then I didn’t think I would receive my movies from Netflix until the 13th. Well, I must say Netflix impressed me with their time of delivery on the shipment. Netflix also made sure to send me an e-mail stating what movies were sent, what day/time they were sent and also an estimated delivery time. Netflix account holders have an amazing ‘MyAccount’ to fall back on if there is any doubt as to what Netflix rental(s) are being sent out. Also, your queued move rentals are displayed in your account.
Enough of MyAccount, back to the movies. I inspected both DVDs and they were pretty much flawless, containing very little to no scratches. The first movie I chose was Tango & Cash, oldie but goodie! The entire movie played without any problems, no skips or pauses. I have received rentals from my local video store and they have been terrible. I can’t count on all my fingers how many times I’ve had to return a movie due to it’s inability to play or frequent skips and/or pauses. Netflix saved me the trouble of riding down to the video store and they also saved me the possible trip to return the rented DVD.
After watching the movie, I was unsure exactly how to get Netflix back their rental. I guess it must of been a blonde moment, either that or too many yuenglings, hah. :P Million dollar idea sending the movie rental in the same package that the customer returns the movie back to Netflix. Not to mention free postage! :D
Since I took forever and a day to post up how it went I also have a little added bonus material, if you will.
I put all three movies in my mailbox and waited for the postage worker to pick them up and have them sent on their merry way. I received an e-mail from Netflix saying they have received all three of the movies and are going to ship the next ones out, the next business day. Netflix even told me which rentals they would be shipping to me!
I received all my three next DVD’s on the exact day Netflix told me they’d have them out. Same story goes for these three as the first, flawless condition.
Netflix is great. A service that is unmatched by any local video store ;)
Cliffs:
Delivery time was A+
Movies from Netflix were A+
Arrival of my returned Netflix rentals A+
Shipment of my next in queue A+

Okay, I’m sitting here, contemplating on what I should make of tonight, when I had the sudden urge to watch a movie. This thought had me wishing I had my movies, but I realized it takes time and they’re going to be here before I know it. I log on to NetFlix to check my account when a certain tab catches my eye that reads, “Watch Instantly”. Normally when you think of the word ‘Instant’ you might conjure up: credit/debt card transactions, mashed potatoes, flat tire(s), certain emotions, electricity, UFO’s, catch my drift?
However, you most certainly do not associate renting movies as ‘Instant’. Once again NetFlix takes me by surprise. Now, the movies you can instantly watch are not ‘newer’ or ‘in theater’ movies. They range from somewhat newer to classics. Thinking to myself, what should I watch? I scroll down to “Suspenseful Thrillers” and BAM! It’s there standing out like a sore thumb, “Vantage Point”. I almost rented this movie at my local video store, now I’m watching it instantly.
Not to be outdone, it gets even better. While gaming on my 360, I decided to check out the Video Marketplace. As soon as I select the video marketplace, there is it, the eye catching NetFlix logo! After a couple seconds, I decided to click on NetFlix and see what it was about. Suddenly, I had the thought of “Can I watch movies on my 360?” In short, the answer is YES!
Depending if you are optimistic or pessimistic, there are a few prerequisites or catches.
- You must have an internet connection
- You must have an Xbox Live Gold account
- You must be a NetFlix member
If you are lucky enough to have all of the above requirements, check out the video marketplace on your xbox 360 dashboard. Get your activation code, enter your code on Netflix.com and you are streaming TV shows and/or movies from your PC to your TV via the xbox 360! Genius!

I’ve decided to give NetFlix a try. After all, I’m getting a free two week trial period with no commitment, what more can you ask for? I chose my first three DVDs mid day on January 10th, 2009. I bet you’re wondering which movies I chose, huh? I chose: Tango & Cash, Weeds Season 1: Disc 1 and Weeds Season 1: Disc 2.
All three are in stock and available for shipment. Since today is Saturday, I do not expect to get them until Tuesday January 13th, 2009. I will post when I receive the movies and let ya’ll know how my first NetFlix experience was. I have extremely high expectations and I believe they’re going to be matched.

NetFlix is any at home DVD watcher’s dream come true. Think about a typical Friday/Saturday movie night routine. Waiting in line to buy your ticket(s), then proceeding to the concession stand to buy $20 worth of popcorn, candy and drinks. Hopefully you don’t catch the exiting movie goers blabbing about the end of the movie and ‘what should of happened’. Finally entering the theater to attempt to find a seat that will accompany you and/or your friends. Possibly dealing with obnoxious other movie patrons. Leaving the theater only to wait in more lines to get onto the road home. Any of this sound familiar?
A solution has risen and it goes by the name of NetFlix. Never waiting in line again for a ticket, no more outrageous prices for drinks and food and by far all those obnoxious movie goers banished! You can seat back, in the comfort of your own home, with your family & friends. What about when mother nature calls? Ever wish you could pause the film until you return? Now you CAN! With over literally hundreds of thousands of movies to choose from, NetFlix offers any movie goer the power to control their film, in their environment.
